round 2 Abington Park

17/12/2018

This was the second event of the series held in Abington Park Model Boating Lake. When we got  there the lake was covered in thick ice, which the two stalwarts cleared by stick and hand. There was also an assorted collection of rubbish, which was also cleared. The Race Officer set a windward leeward course with a spreader to windward. The wind was as usual a bit blustery but the APMYC Wee Nip coped with the conditions. The winner of this event as you can see is Peter Shepherd closely followed by Peter Jackson. Steve Wheeler is also improving and Derek Lane had his good moments. So a cold and windy day with a full compliment of races.
DF95 Racing next at Hollowell Sailing Club next Tuesday 10.00am start.
