Abington Park Wee Nip medal Competition

John Simmons  wins 2015 Wee Nip Medal Competition

2015 NOR

John Simmons showed that his late victory in 2014 was no fluke as he took seven wins out of eight events entered mirroring Keith Coxons' achievement last year, only losing once to last years champion.

The class continues to grow albeit at a slightly slower pace as we seem to have exhausted the supply of local skippers.

Hopefully the racing next year will be just as close in 2016.

The 2016 Wee Nip Competition takes place over ten events starting 23rd January 2015 at Abington Park and across three venues, five races at Abington Park MYC, three races at Two Islands RYC and two at Emberton Park Sailing Club.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be onboard your Wee Nip, Alan Smedley has provided us with this video taken from the stern of his Glengoyne at Novembers Wee Nip Event, Two Islands RYC.

Don't worry the early silent movie style soon gives way to a more regular format.

Thanks Alan
